Complete U.S. Discography

Compiled by Karl Baker

This discography will endeavor to list all of the known American releases by The Lovin' Spoonful. However, no attempt will be made to include all of the singles put out by a myriad of reissue companies or all of the various artists compilations that have included any of the Spoonful's numerous hits. I will include all those issued by the primary copyright holder (Kama Sutra/Buddah and BMG) and those by the better reissue labels such as Rhino and Varèse Vintage. I do reserve the right to thrown in the odd compilation or reissue just to keep things interesting.

Tendolar 049 Do You Believe In Outtakes?? 1998
Bootleg consisting of material from Bell Sound, Hullabaloo, Shindig, The Big T.N.T. Show , John on TV in '73, film soundtracks and singles. The tracks from Bell (the first two) have been mastered at the wrong speed, so that they play slow. The cover even misspells the group's name, adding an extra "l" at the end (among several typos). Sad to see that even the bootleggers treat the Spoonful as shamefully as their "legitimate" brethren!

Delta 24 738 Battle Of The Bands 1999
A two CD set featuring the Spoonful in a "battle" with The Turtles. It might've been a cute concept if some actual thought went into the packaging and presentation. Unfortunately, this is just Delta 46 001 coupled with the Turtles disc Golden Hits (Delta 46 002) in a slipcase.
